This is a Pro Football pool, which is a little different than the normal weekly pool. This pool works as follows:

1. Pick one winner out of all the games in Week 1. No point spread involved.

2. If your team loses (ties are considered losses), you’re out of the pool (kaput!!! finished!!! ... well, sort of, see Rule #7 & #8).

3. In Week 2, you must pick a different team to win. Each team may only be used once all year. For example, if you pick Green Bay in Week 1, you can not use them again. Therefore, it pays to look ahead at the schedule. (www.krummell.com) If the pool lasts the entire season (don’t count on it!!!), you will have used 17 different teams to win it all.

4. Entry fee is $30 (one time only, not a weekly fee, for both brackets [see below]). Winnings split 70% first and 30% second.

5. Weekly picks must be submitted to to me (e-mail) before kick-off of the first game of the week. i.e. for the first week, 9:00 pm Thur, Sept 4th.

6. In any given week, if I do not hear from you in time, you will be assigned the team favored by the most points which you have not already used. You can only use this "feature" 3 times - then you're out. No auto-playing the pool.

7. Instead of having just one chance of getting knocked out, there will be two chances. A) Pick the winning team (as described above) and B) pick the losing team. This is a separate bracket the the winning team bracket. In this case, rules are the same, just pick the team that is going to lose instead of win each week. Can only pick each team to lose or win once. (i.e. you can pick the same team to win a game, and to lose another game. But you can't pick the same team to lose 2 games or win 2 games.)

#8) FIRST WEEK ONLY - if you lose, you can pay $7.50/bracket to get back in the pool.

#9) Matt's vig - free entry. Don't worry, I've never come close to winning.

The winner is the person who keeps picking the longest streak of winning/losing teams. (i.e. if you are knocked out one side of the pool, you are still in until you are kocked out of the other side). There is only 1 winner for both brackets.
